## How Athion connects to your plant

### Documents

Reconciling drawings and documents needs no connection to your plant.

### Plant data

Historian collects through a read-only OPC client that your OT team places inside your network. Nothing writes back to the plant.

### Field changes

Change detection works from control system backup files, with no live connection to the plant.

## AI that keeps your data private

We built Athion for manufacturing, by people who spent a decade in it, working with plants and interviewing the customers who run them. We built everything for the customers with the strictest requirements. Above all, we make your work faster without introducing new uncertainty. We focus on the quality of your data, and customer privacy comes first.

### Already using a major model?

Then use it. Athion works alongside the model you have adopted, so you can put it to work on your plant's data.

### Can't send your data out?

For many engineering and manufacturing companies, plant data is a trade secret, or at the very least confidential, and some things can't leave the organization for cybersecurity reasons. You shouldn't have to send your data to a major model provider to get valuable AI insights from it. Athion AI can run on an open-source model instead.

### Answers you can check

Athion AI answers from your drawings and plant history, and shows where every answer came from, so the speed doesn't cost you certainty.
